In contrast with Alice (to whom he rarely is separated from so it's too easy to compare them), Jasper's got a tranquil, warm disposition. Often, he finds himself being quiet, listening rather than talking. But while he seems to be rather serious next to boisterous Emmett or bubbly Alice, he is indeed friendly and pleasant. On the occasions when he does speak, he's quite charming and amusing, although he only talks in short bursts. Alice happens to be the only exception.
However, the effect high school has on Jasper's personality is almost night and day. Jasper has the most difficulty adapting to the 'vegetarian' lifestyle, and do to the lack of self-control and the over-bearing scent of human blood, he's extreme edgy, sometimes short with everyone. If he's particularly stressed, he'll lash out at almost anyone, and is often heard, by the Cullen's anyways, growling quietly. Alice is really the only person who can soothe him, and make the fire in his throat that much bearable.
Because of his ability to sense emotions, Jasper has developed many habits. He feels the need to calm the room whenever a situation is especially stressful, and sometimes does it for an individual. Also, whenever anyone, or a group of people, are happy for what he feels is too long of a period of time, he tends to hover, ready for them to snap, so to speak.

Born Jasper Whitlock, he was raised a southern gentleman in Texas, hard-working and a easily a charmer. He served as a soilder in the Confederate States Army during the Civil War in 1861. Because of his captivating personality, he advanced ranks swiftly, and it was because of this that he was chosen by Maria to become a vampire. The change, just as it is for everyone, is very distinct in his mind, and he can remember writhing in pain for days. As a newborn, he was taught by Maria how to fight, and, being exceptional at it, was given the duty of training the increasing amount of newborns Maria was making. It was the constant fights that gave him the cresent moon-shaped scars that are etched all over his body.
Jasper realized that he was not meant to be a monster. He sickened by himself, and snuck away from Maria. However he still feed on human blood. It was easy, where he lived with Phil and Charlottle. The area was heavily wooded, and hikers were plentiful. But the emotions got to him. He couldn't bear to feel the terror of his prey vibrating into him, or how hopeless they are, knowing they've met end.
Being vegetarian with the Cullen's, however, was harder than he'd expected. Bears, deer, and lions do not satisfy his cravings are much as he'd thought it would. The constant burning in his throat seemed to be magnified ten times more painful. But because of Carlisle and Esme, and his gratitude toward them, he tries.
Jasper's first coven was with a sadistic vampire named Maria, who in fact transformed him. Maria was growing an army of powerful newborn vampires, and it was Jasper's job to create, train, and destroy them. When he began to the monster he'd become, he left Maria, and searched for a new coven. He found his old friend Peter, and lived with him and Peter's wife Charlotte for some time. However, he disliked the normal diet of human blood, as he could feel the fear, fury, or helplessness of the person he was feeding on. Again, he left, and traveled to Philadelphia.
In an local diner, exhausted and alone, he met a tiny, pixie-like vampire who introduced herself brightly as Alice. She told him that she foresaw them meeting each other, with her physic ability to she the future. She talked of a coven of vampires called the Cullen's, who were staying with friends in Alaska. He immediately trusted her, and, at that point in his life, it wasn't such easy thing for Jasper to do. They journeyed across the country together, to Washington. He found himself effortlessly falling in love with her, and it was almost as simple telling her he was. Alice and Jasper became very close, and were already a happy couple by the time they reached the Cullen's.
The Cullen's were as intriguing as his wife. They were "vegetarian", or so they called themselves, and fed on only the blood of animals. Jasper preferred this to humans, seeing as he couldn't feel animals' emotions, but it was difficult. Usually Jasper could satisfy his hunger whenever he pleased; animals hardly did the job. But the Cullen's still welcomed him and Alice. They consisted of Carlisle, who Jasper immediently recognized and soon viewed as the father figure; Esme, a kind, gentle, and very loving mother Edward, who happened to be older than Esme, but still what eventually Jasper considered a brother; Rosalie, vain and self-centered, but sometimes quite enjoyable. Soon dubbed his 'twin' because of her blonde hair; Bolder-like Emmett, who was loud and entertaining. Jasper's another adoptive brother. Jasper stayed with the Cullen's, and knows he always will, because, frankly, they became a loving family and will be so forever.

He then leaned against the wall closet to him and watched his younger brother.
"You don't even know why I ran away do you mother wanted me to" Aiden said softly. "She wanted me to get away and find you guys a home so you would be away from that awful man it was working until I found out that he was beating on you a lot more then normal" Aiden said softly. "Jermey listen to me I know you hate me well that's just an understatment but, listen why else do you think I came to hogwarts in the first place mother wanted me to look out for all of you and now she wants me to look after you not only as a big brother figure but, also a father figure as well Jermey she ran away from dad she's somewhere safe now but, she doesn't want you to go back home she wants me to go back home to handle father" Aiden said with a nod of his head.
"I know it will take a while to trust me again but, please just give me the chance to make things right again I knew I shouldn't have ran away like that plus if you don't think I cared why do you think I crept into each one of your rooms and watched over you when father came in to beat on you I took those blows Jermey" Aiden said calmly.
